This simple 5-Minute Maple Dijon Dressing is a quick and easy yet tantalizingly delicious vinaigrette that pairs well with pretty much any salad! With easy to source natural ingredients like pure maple syrup, lemon juice (or vinegar!), olive oil, garlic and dijon mustard, you most likely have everything you need to make your own homemade salad dressing right now.

This maple dijon salad dressing is one of those basic recipes that tastes anything but basic! Where most of the dressing recipes I’ve shared call for chopping, this one is simple as can be. You toss a hand full of ingredients into a jar, shake and enjoy.
The dijon mustard adds flavor and depth, lemon adds acidity, and that maple syrup adds just enough sweetness. It’s truly a lovely blend and easy to double so you have enough for salads all week long!
You can check out my Quick and Easy Dinner Salad Recipes post for a roundup with some of the best dinner salads I’ve found online. It also pairs fantastically with my lemon herb Greek yogurt marinated chicken recipe as the main dish protein.
Ingredients
Ingredients are shown both in the image below and in the recipe ingredient list. I tested the recipe with various ingredients but wanted to keep it simple and straight forward.
One note – you can replace the lemon juice with red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar in place of lemon if you don’t have one.
How to Make Maple Dijon Vinaigrette
This recipe is so simple that it can be covered in two steps:
- Add dressing ingredients to a jar.
- Put the lid on and shake to emulsify. That’s it! Now pour that maple dijon dressing on any and all salads.
Recipe Tip
Just making a single batch for use right away? No need to get an extra jar dirty! Add all dressing ingredients straight to the salad bowl, drizzling the olive oil in last while whisking to emulsify. Then just add the rest of the salad ingredients, toss well and serve!
Equipment
- 1 Jar with Lid
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic about 2 medium sized cloves or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Add all salad dressing ingredients to a small jar.
- Seal jar lid tightly and shake to emulsify.
- Use right away on your favorite salad or keep in the refrigerator and use as needed. Please note that the dressing will solidify when cold and you can either leave it on the counter while you prep your salad or run it under warm water then shake before using.
