This smoked salmon avocado toast is an easy breakfast with just a handful of ingredients that is so satisfying! With creamy avocado, salty capers, fresh dill and the mild bite of sliced shallot, it’s the perfect combination of flavor and texture.

Avocado toast with smoked salmon is one of those recipes that is SO easy it’s barely even a recipe. The way the rich smokey salmon pairs with the avocado smeared bread, brine-tinged saltiness of the capers, fresh dill, chives and light bite of shallot is *chef’s kiss* divine.
Growing up in Alaska and now living in the Pacific NW, salmon is an area I have some deliciously earned expertise in. I smoke salmon myself about once a month and cook with it often so when I say a salmon recipe is good, trust me, I know what I’m talking about. 😉
I’ve made this toast at least 50 times. It’s my favorite easy breakfast recipe for whenever we have smoked salmon in the house. You can use hard smoked salmon or lox, whatever your preference is. I like to use my popular smoked salmon recipe but store bought is totally fine too!
Here’s are the ingredients you’ll need:

Tip
If you turned some smoked salmon into my creamy smoked salmon dip, you can smear that on and top with sliced avocado for a delicious and flavorful twist. I like to make a big batch of dip and set some aside for bagels and toast the next day.
